Q What is the minimum age for a guest to stay at Hotel Normandie?
A Guests eighteen years of age or older, with valid ID and a credit/debit card in the guest's name, may book a room with us. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Q Is Hotel Normandie pet friendly?
A Yes! Hotel Normandie accepts guests with up to two dogs weighing no more than twenty-five pounds in total. $50 per stay pet charge applies. Pet treats, water bowls and doggie beds are available for your convenience at our front desk. Unfortunately, we do not allow cats in the hotel.

Q Does Hotel Normandie offer complimentary Wi-Fi?
A Yes, Normandie's Wi-Fi is complimentary and is available in guest rooms, meeting rooms and the lobby.

Q Does Hotel Normandie offer self-parking?
A Sorry, we are only able to offer valet parking.

Q Then what is your cost for the valet service?
A Valet parking offers guests unlimited in and out privileges for $32 per night (tax included).

Q We saw an article indicating that the old '40s era Cassell's Hamburger restaurant from your neighborhood, which once offered prime grade burgers and famous potato salad, is reopening soon at the Normandie. When?
A Planning and construction for the Cassell's outlet is underway and we expect to be flipping Cassell's burgers in Fall of 2014. When Cassell's reopens at Hotel Normandie, guests will be able to dine at Cassell's or order room service.

Q Does the hotel have event and meeting space?
A Yes! We will be able to host small meetings in our board rooms and larger events, parties, banquets and receptions in the Charlemagne Room just past the lobby level.

Q Are there plans for a lobby bar?
A Yes! We will be opening the Normandie's lobby bar about the same time as Cassell's opens, in Fall of 2014.

Q Does Hotel Normandie offer premium cable channels or 'pay-per-view' programming?
A As of right now, there is no pay-per-view available.

Q Does Hotel Normandie serve breakfast?
A Beginning in Fall of 2014, the Normandie will offer breakfast at Cassell’s and room service.

Q Does the Normandie offer a shuttle service?
A Shared shuttle vans between our hotel and the three major LA-area commercial airports (LAX, LGB, BUR) are available 24/7 via Super Shuttle. The hotel does not operate its own shuttles. From the airport find the shared van pick-up and take the van going to Downtown LA. To the airport, see our guest service host to set up a scheduled pick-up.

Q Is the Normandie accessible via public transportation?
A Two Metro transit bus lines intersect at our corner, and the Metrorail Purple line has a stop at Wilshire and Normandie, just a block south of the hotel. The Metro Purple line offers connections to nearly every part of Los Angeles County. Day passes are only $5.00.

Q What is the Normandie’s neighborhood like?
A The Normandie is in the heart of the Wilshire Center / Koreatown district of Los Angeles. Koreatown is a thriving community with plenty of food and club options. Plus, the neon lights of the area at night are amazing as are the historic architecture and galleries nearby. Our guest service hosts will be happy to help you with maps, directions and suggestions.

Q Does the Normandie have a car rental counter?
A Two prominent car rental agencies have offices nearby and will deliver your vehicle to the hotel. Our guest service host will be happy to assist you with your needs.

Q What is the architectural significance of the Normandie?
A The hotel was designed and built in the mid-1920s by a prominent architectural firm of the time, Walker & Eisen. Their team also designed the United Artists Theater downtown, the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, the Fine Arts building and the nearby Gaylord building. The Normandie has been restored by the JLou Architect firm of Pasadena, and has been designated a cultural monument by the City of Los Angeles.
